  • Is Red Light Therapy safe?

    LED light therapy also known as Photobiomodulation (PBMT) is a therapeutic technique typically used by doctors, physical therapists, and aesthetic clinics as a non-invasive and chemical-free method to treat dermatological conditions as acne, psoriasis and eczema.

    Unlike other LED-laser treatment, Red Light Therapy does not burn the skin and is well known to be oncologically safe for skin rejuvenation and can be used every day.

  • We recommend combining full-body RLT with another advanced recovery treatment for faster and better results. For example, your club could offer a combination treatment of RLT and ice bath cryotherapy or cold compression boots over a period of 5 weeks. FITRED PRO is operator-independent, so your staff can plan a treatment or workout while performing an RLT session at the same time.

  • FITRED PRO is self-operated, easy to use, and quick to learn. A 10-inch touchscreen allows your staff to start a session with a simple click. We provide a 3-hour training course that explains the basics of Red Light Therapy and how to optimize its use.

  • Unlike some treatments, full-body red light therapy sessions are painless and require no downtime. When the light warms up, you will feel some heat on your skin, but most people find it very peaceful and relaxing. But remember that the benefits are cumulative, so it is essential to be consistent to reap the full benefits. Two sessions per week for at least five weeks.

    1. No sunblock/makeup: It is advisable that you use RLT after washing your face and before you apply makeup or sunscreens

    2. Take-off your clothes: wearing clothes can prevent red light from probing into your skin

    3. Hydrate the skin: After a 20-minute session, the body will have perspired and the skin will be slightly dry. Applying a moisturizing or anti-aging cream to the body after the session will rehydrate the skin and improve anti-aging results.

    4. Drink water: although more findings still need to be done to ascertain if this truly affects treatment, hydrated cells could help the RLT work better.

    5. health conditions or pregnancy: if you are already undergoing certain treatments or you are pregnant, you should always consult a professional prior to start with any RLT treatment.

    6. Wear googles: Facing the full glare of the red light might cause some uncomfortable but generally harmless symptoms like slight headaches. So it is highly recommended to wear googles anytime you want to use the device. They will adequately protect your eyes and prevent any visual discomforts.

    7. Anticipating fast result: a common mistake many people make is to raise their expectations too high. RLT is arguably one of the most optimistic and positive methods for providing cure and treatment to the various number of health problems , however, it is not and can never be a miracle cure. It is not a one-time treatment, this is why it is highly recommended that it should be frequently and consistently used. To fully maximize its usefulness, we recommended to offer “rejuvenation cure” of 10 to 12 sessions minimum.

  • RLT is famous for its safety, non-invasiveness and painless features. it's a chemical-free therapy that is oncologically safe for skin rejuvenation. RLT can be used every day. And unlike some other cosmetic treatments, such as micro-needling or laser treatments, there is no downtime following a RLT therapy.

  • It depends on how frequently you are using RLT and your body’s own personal response. But if you are using RLT 2 times a week, for anti-aging, you may see results between four to five weeks. Some people report seeing an immediate glow following their LED treatment.

    • Irradiance = amount of energy a specific part of your body receives over a set period. A higher irradiance can result in better results for less time. The most used format to measure irradiance is mW/cm2 (milliwatts per square centimetres). However, just stating the irradiance measurement means nothing if the distance is not provided. Some RLT devices have a high mW/cm2 reading on the surface of the device, and not on the object exposed to it.

    • Frequency: The range of frequency used in typical RLT devices is from 610 nm (a deep red, penerates the skin and acts on mitochondria) to 950 nm (near-infrared, penetrates deeper into tissue)

    • Treatment coverage area: it’s alway a better idea to use a RLT device with the maximum coverage as larger devices emit more light energy and better performance than smaller units like at-home devices.
